I don't have a picture of Aretza sp 5 so I take your word for it. Its the same as your earlier picture 4649826.

Well done

Aretza sp 5

A Vth instar nymph. From the size of thesewing buds its probable that the adult will be fully winged so possibly not Cedarina (all wingless or micropterus).

Acrididae sp. (family)

I looked up Paul Whitingdon's original description for his specimenss from Wonboyn and agree that this is the most likely ID, although I don't have the Johns and Rentz key available.

Paragryllacris combusta

The last grasshopper (Acridoidea) taxonomist in Australia was (arguably) Ken Key who retired in the 80's. He sorted all the species in the collection and assigned numbers to them if undesribed but only studied and described about 400 species of Morabini and species in the genera Psednura, Monistria, Phaulacridium, Praxibulus and Austroicetes (Acrididae) that have unusable keys in the field. Hopefully DNA and AI will come to the rescue but names still have to be supplied. Perhaps some 'influencer' will take them on

Genus novum 77, sp.1
820,888 sightings of 22,452 species from 14,153 members
